Current Made in USA sale on Pure Citizen: American Apparel Organics 4/11-4/15
If your like me, you are always on the lookout for a good sale. I get all the updates: Groupon, Zulilly and Heartsy. You can snag some sweet deals on all kinds of products, but often these daily deals are offered for items that might not meet a conscious consumer’s criteria. So I was pretty excited to come across Pure Citizen, a daily deal site offering products by ethical brands supporting wonderful non-profits.
This is how it works. Every day, a “daily love” email arrives in your inbox containing products from a featured company at 30-90% off. With sales lasting only 72 hours each, the offerings are updated frequently. There are two things I love about Pure Citizen. First, they have a set of cute icons identifying the specific ethics of each product. Check out the philosophies they highlight.
Handmade
Organic
Fairly Produced
Eco-Conscious
Recycled
Cruelty Free
Made in USA
One of a Kind
Vegan
Pure Safe
Second, every purchase gives you the option to contribute to select non-profit programs. You can choose to save a little less on a deal and donate the difference to their featured non-profit. There current charity is One Day’s Wages, an organization inspiring others to contribute just a day’s wage to combat global poverty. Check out what they are all about.
The only negative? That I didn’t think of this genius idea first! Sign up for Pure Citizen updates and check out their current deals featuring scarves made from recycled materials, accessories made by survivors of human trafficking and natural handmade bath products made by an entrepreneurial college student funding her education. Happy shopping!
Have you scored any deals on ethically made products online? How about American made goods? Have you ordered anything through Pure Citizen?

I’m a huge fan of Zulily, Groupon, etc and subscribe to them all. LOL I’ve found some really great deals that way! I’ve never heard of Pure Citizen, though! Very cool! I signed up and can’t wait to start getting emails.
Thanks for the info!

I am so signing up for that! I deleted my Groupon account after they dissed kids with food allergies, but you are right in that most of those sites are not friendly to the socially conscious. Thanks for letting us know about Pure Citizen. Heading there now!
